The Annapurna region is  one of the most popular trekking destination in Nepal, attracting well over 100,000 visitors per year. It is located in the central part of the country.  The beautiful city of Pokhara makes an excellent base for all the treks around the region.  It is named after the Annapurna mountain range, which includes several peaks over 8,000 meters, including Annapurna I, the 10th highest mountain in the world.

The Annapurna region is known for its stunning landscapes, diverse ethnic communities offering good mix of Nepali and Tibetan culture, and rich biodiversity. The trekking routes in the regions  are easily accessible offering  good accommodations and food.

The relaxed  beautiful city of Pokhara, which is located on the shores of Phewa Lake makes a good base for all the treks in the Region. Some of the popular trekking routes in the Annapurna region include the classic Annapurna Circuit, the Annapurna Base Camp trek, and the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. The Annapurnas are also the launching pad for adventurous treks into the restricted areas of Mustang and Nar-Phu.

These treks offer breath-taking views of some of the world most biggest and most beautiful  snow-capped mountains, deep valleys, villages with rich traditional cultures  and mountain top monasteries.
